The story begins 10 years after Dragonball Z ended, with Son Goku training with Uub at Kami-sama's sky palace. Also at the sky palace are old (actually ancient) foes from the original Dragonball series Pilaf and Co. Once again, Pilaf is in search of the mystical Dragonballs which he intends to use to become the supreme ruler of the world. He is convinced that it won't slip out of his clutches like last time, where Oolong wished for panties from Sheng Long. Eventually, Pilaf and Co. stumble upon those "seven magic balls" and summons "Sheng Long." Son Goku surprises the evildoers, causing Pilaf to "accidentally" wish that Goku become a kid again. The wish is granted and Goku is now Chibi-Goku! Everyone stares in disbelief at this development. Now here is where the fun is supposed to begin...
Chibi-Goku is eating (again) at a restaurant while next door a robbery is taking place. Goku's granddaughter Pan just happens to be walking with her boyfriend on their way to a theater nearby. But their date is side-tracked by the robbery and Pan is so enraged that she leaps into action. Chibi-Goku is also forced into action when his meal is interrupted by the restaraunt collapsing on him. But Pan does not recognize her grandfather and refuses to let him fight. She single-handedly foils the robbers and scares away her would-be boyfriend. Then Kame-sennin appears on the scene and after fondling several woman passer-by's, clears up the identity of Chibi-Goku.
Back at Goku's house, we see older Gohan (with glasses and a suit) and Videl. Chi-chi is crying over the bizarre turn of events.
We soon learn from Kaiou-sama that if Goku is not restored to his rightful age within one year's time, then [insert your favorite doomsday scenario here]. And to top it off, the dragonballs used by Pilaf were the mysterious "Black Star" ones that scatter across the galaxy once it's used. So our heroes must travel across the galaxy to recover them before it's too late...
Can our heroes recover the Dragonballs from alien worlds in time? Will Goku be restored to adulthood? Find out next time, in Dragonball GT, Episode 2 !
